LANSING, Mich. – Marketing Resource Group (MRG) is pleased to announce that Kara Douma has recently joined the firm as Director of Research Services.
As Director of Research Services, Douma will oversee the survey research operations including the implementation and analysis of MRG’s survey research and public opinion polls. In addition to client consultations, Douma will develop survey instruments and manage day-to-day data collection. Douma will work closely with MRG president Tom Shields, vice president Dave Doyle and vice president Deb Muchmore to analyze the data and develop recommendations for MRG clients.
“Kara is a great addition to the MRG team,” said Tom Shields, president of MRG. “Combining her research skills with the political and public affairs experience of fellow staff members like Dave Doyle and Deb Muchmore will provide our clients with accurate data and solid recommendations.”
Douma comes to MRG with a wealth of survey and polling knowledge. Most recently, Douma was a Senior Consultant for Bellwether Research and Consulting, providing strategic public opinions research for causes and campaigns. Prior to Bellwether Research, Douma held positions with the Michigan State Senate, Public Sector Consultants and was independently contracted by political campaign firms. Douma is only the third person to serve as Director of Research Services in the MRG’s 34-year history.
Douma has a bachelor of arts in Political Science with Honor from Michigan State University. In her time at MSU, Douma was a Patricia Roberts Harris Graduate Fellow in Public Administration where she received the Pi Alpha Alpha award. Douma currently resides in Lansing, Michigan.
